Meteorology to Fulfill Science Education Standards

This work focused on expanding weather-literacy by identifying opportunities to integrate meteorology into kindergarten through 12th grade learning experiences. This was accomplished by analyzing the Next Generation Science Standards to identify learning areas that overlapped with meteorological principles; the Standards are being adopted nationally to guide science and math education requirements. The findings were applied throughout grade-school classrooms in Ithaca, New York. â€‹
